Back in 2018, we completed various renewable technology installations for a customer in Connah’s Quay. They had a 5.40 kWp solar PV system installed which was made up of 15 x SunPower, SPR-X22-360 solar panels, 1 x SolarEdge3680H inverter, and 15 x P500 optimizers. They also wanted Tesla Powerwall to have more control over their energy as well as Backup Gateway and Zappi EV to charge their electric vehicles.
Installing Solar Panels with a Tesla Powerwall is a great way to gain additional benefits for your home. You can store the free electricity your solar panels produce instead of exporting it back to the national grid. You have more control over your energy and can use your cleaner energy for use when the sun is out of sight or the incident of a power cut.
Inconsistency between individual solar panels can cause a loss in power in a PV system. In a SolarEdge installation, each solar panel is connected to a power optimiser, which maximises solar energy production from each module. If one PV module is not working to the best of its ability due to shading, soiling, or any other inconvenience, it will not affect the performance of the other PV modules. This maximises your energy production and increases the efficiency of your solar system. SolarEdge is particularly useful for homes with shading issues and differently shaped roofs.
Here is a screenshot displaying the estimated monthly energy and as you can see homeowners can use their saved energy through winter as it takes a drop in producing energy around that time due to it going dark earlier.
